The Resident Advisory Council
To better address the needs of the recovery community and incorporate the perspectives of recovery home residents, MASH created the Resident Advisory Council.
This is a group of former and current recovery home residents tasked with:
Sharing their insights into the current state of the recovery field
Identifying the most pressing needs of the recovery community
Providing MASH with feedback on its policies and actions
The RAC is made up of at least 5 members with the only requirement being 6 months of experience living in a recovery home. Members of the RAC meet amongst themselves around 4 times a year and have a discussion with the board of directors at least 2 times a year.
MASH will ensure that the RAC reflects a large diversity of perspectives and backgrounds. We encourage members of marginalized groups, especially Indigenous or African American communities, to join the council.
